Terms of Service

These terms explain how I provide CV writing and career support services. I have kept them as straightforward as possible so that you know what to expect when we agree to work together.

About my services

I provide independent CV writing, CV review, LinkedIn profile support, interview preparation and career advice services.

The exact support you require, the price and any relevant timescales will be agreed with you before work begins.

Agreeing to work together

Getting in touch through this website does not commit you to purchasing a service.

We will first discuss what you need. I will then confirm the service I am providing, the price and any other important details. A contract between us is formed when you agree to proceed on that basis.

Payment

Payment arrangements will be confirmed before work begins. Unless we agree otherwise, payment is required before I start providing the agreed service.

Any additional work outside the scope originally agreed will be discussed with you first and will not be charged without your agreement.

Information you provide

To provide effective support, I rely on you giving me accurate and complete information about your experience, qualifications, achievements and circumstances.

You remain responsible for checking that any CV, LinkedIn content or other material produced accurately represents you before you use it.

Information and documents you provide will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy.

CV writing and revisions

CV writing is a collaborative process. I will use my recruitment and CV writing experience to help present your background clearly and effectively while ensuring that the finished document remains an accurate reflection of you.

Where CV writing is included in the service, reasonable refinements to the agreed work are included. Significant changes in direction or additional work outside the original scope may be treated as a separate piece of work, but I will always discuss this with you before any additional charge is made.

Appointments

If your service includes a scheduled one-to-one session, please give me as much notice as reasonably possible if you need to rearrange it.

If either of us needs to reschedule because of unforeseen circumstances, we will agree another suitable time.

Cancellation rights

If you purchase a service as a consumer at a distance, you will normally have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of the contract being agreed.

If you ask me to begin work during that 14-day period, you expressly request that the service starts before the cancellation period has ended. If you subsequently cancel after work has begun, you may be required to pay a reasonable amount for the work already completed.

If the service has been fully completed within the 14-day cancellation period following your express request for work to begin, your right to cancel may end once the service has been fully performed.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Results and outcomes

I will provide my services with reasonable care and skill and will give you advice based on my professional recruitment and CV writing experience.

However, recruitment decisions are made by employers and other third parties. I therefore cannot guarantee that using my services will result in an interview, job offer, promotion or any other particular career outcome.

Your documents

Any CV or other personalised material created specifically for you as part of the agreed service is for your own use and you are free to use and adapt the finished material for your job search and career purposes.

Any templates, methods or supporting materials that I provide remain my own unless we specifically agree otherwise.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The terms applying to your service will be those in place when we agree to work together.
